arrival
Saturday
Welcome to Costa Rica! We will be organizing a shuttle bus from the airport to Puerto Viejo, so please try to arrive in San Jose on the early afternoon 12 pm flight. When you arrive at the cabins we'll enjoy fresh tropical fruit drinks and get started on our first intro workshop where you'll learn how to survive the tropics without chemicals. We'll mix our own insect repellent/anti-aging body oil and discuss the positive aspects of living a life that is pure and natural.
Did you know Costa Rica's national motto is Pura Vida?

Most attendees rent a bike for the week to explore the nearby towns and various beaches along the coast. You can choose to do any of these activities this day or any morning during the week as all workshops are in the afternoons.

Talamanca natural dye and fiber trip
day 5
Pastora Jackson is one of only 20 surviving Bri-Bri artisans in the Talamanca area who still use natural dyes in their process. Today we experience an intimate session in Pastora's studio. She will show us how she harvests and dyes the natural fibers that she and her daughter work with. We'll each then get a lesson on her techniques and get to make a jewelry with her authentic organic fibers.
